Depends who you ask. But the real question is, SHOULD America be a Christian nation?

I wouldn't say that being Republican or Democrat has zero to do with religion. Though, I wish it didn't. In almost every church I know, and even in this forum, if one is a Democrat, the sincerity of their faith is questioned.

Chris?
Bro, I'm real sorry, really I am. But do you ever really know what we are talking about? Seriously, did you watch the videos I posted in THIS thread? Did you take the time to digest what Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro said about Judaism, and Zionism? Therefore you would understand what MY point is to the other poster?

I don't believe America is, or has ever been, a Christian country. Her laws have been wicked from slavery to the genocide of the Native American, to child labor, to Jim Crow laws, to women's suffrage, to abortion and gay marriage.
America has always been a secular democratic republic. At least, to the best of my knowledge.

I do see your point. One can be a devout Jew, and reject Zionism.
I'm just saying that it sure doesn't seem like being Republican or Democrat has nothing to do with religion.

Re: Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro's view on Zionism
Is there a relationship between Zionism and the Christian Reconstructionists on the right in the United States?
It seems both want to use religion to create religio-political governments.

And that's how you want it. A secular democracy, with wicked laws. Lee Greenwood was not available for comment.

Actually, I want Jesus to return and watch as the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our God, and of His Christ.
Until then, I see erring on the side of liberty a safer bet than establishing a 21st Century government like John Calvin's, Geneva.
I'll gladly take theocracy, under the direct rulership of Jesus when He returns.

I highly doubt that you be that glad.
