Now they allow that all day long.... doesn't bother me.
TBN has given me a great platform to minister to the world, I am blessed by it.

Newman,
My Mother died when I was 11 in a horrible car accident. She was my hero as my Father was an abusive drunkard until he died when I was 15.
My Mother instilled more in my heart in those 11 years than most would in a lifetime. She pressed upon me to be kind and always be a gentleman my whole life. Part of that was to use dignity when speaking to the opposite sex as 'Miss' or 'Mrs' and I've utilized that my whole life.
I'm sorry you find it offensive as it had nothing to do with your relationship with God. In fact, you'll be hard pressed to find ONE woman in this life to whom I've not been a gentleman.
Yep, I still open doors... give them my seat... take them by the elbow when climbing up stairs... and say 'Miss' or 'Mrs'. I hate that you think I was being disrespectful when my only intention was to be the gentleman my Mother would be proud of.

I think she would like to be called, sister.

You think, huh? Take you long to figure that one out?
I've no problem with calling her 'Sister'. Again, I was trying to be respectful to her as a lady. She has, for all I've seen, always been a 'lady'.
I have lived long enough, however, to know that not all 'Sisters' are a 'lady'. I thought she deserved the respect of a 'Miss', 'Mrs.' or 'Ma'am'.
She misunderstood it. I explained it. Twice now.

I find that incredibly sad. We have a good forum with a grand array of distinct views but, as much as I hate to say it, some of it is more antiApostolic than Apostolic.
Let's change direction! How about some real threads of substance besides the grande old 'bread and butter' "I went to a UPC Church and met Count Dracula!" / "How to whack your hair off in 36 simple steps and still feel good about it" / "Will shacking up with someone in an act of Adultery really send you to Hell if you repent daily?" type of stuff.
GOOD GRIEF!
(Where's Charlie Brown when you need him?!? He says "GOOD GRIEF" so much better than I do.)

Only eight out of twenty-five. That is four to one major in favor of the "apostolics" what are you complaining about. It sounds like an "apostolic" forum in every sense of the word.
