The personality in question is not what I would call 'a firm" one.

ROFL!

Sister Rhoni I did not take what you posted as your own.Its not your fault. This stuff is being preached in pulpits all over the place not just BOTT.
There are others preaching this stuff. It borders on codependancy.I am not surprised that its being talked about here.Infact I am glad you brought it up.
Being a counselor don't you think that its wierd that people would try to take God down to that level of carnality? It seems like instead of living life and getting out and being intimate with people and I mean in the right moral sense they would rather hide out and pray all the time with Jesus claiming him as their lover or husband etc. They speak of intercession as intercourse and spiritual children as born from this union. That is in no way normal though it is through travail that sons and daughters are born. Faith is the seed.We cannot
in our flesh pray day and night and make God do anything. The seed of the woman Eve was even spoken of by God but we know woman has no seed nor does the Spirit of God.He was a Spirit and invisible except in instances that He made Himself known by fire such as when He appeared to Moses or other instances so the stuff some preach we know is virtually impossible.
I had a good pastor explain to me once that he was so excited about what he heard at conference one year and could not wait to get home to preach it to his congregation only to go home and dig out the bible and see that it was not biblically sound.
Thanks again for bringing up this subject. It is a good one.

Yes, I agree it is a good topic of discussion but not one in which the messenger is stoned...I am not talking about me...talking about the man of God. Let's talk about the message and the soundness of the doctrine...not belittle and denegrate the man of God!

Trying to decide between responses...

Maybe I should just put both down...

"I know you are, but what am I?"

Or...

"What you say is what you are, twice as far as a chocolate bar!"

Thank you Sister for that trip down memory lane.

Sixth grade was a long time ago.

Well, one of the things Dr. Jeffers preaches is that we go through the same test over and over again until we pass it...and we have to pay for the test...just like when you get your driver's license. If you haven't learned proper respect for men of God then you should go back to the sixth grade and relearn the lesson You deserved the comment

Sister Rhoni its okay. You did not preach this message.Don't take it personal. Its good though that its being discussed.I did not put down the man of God.I just disagree with his doctrine. Its okay to disagree. If someone preaches something publically its going to be dealt with biblically publically one place or the other.
But about the other things I asked you. What do you think of people putting God in the place of human relationships? I know marriages that have broken up over this.
Its not normal.

Trouvere,

[I know who you are BTW... ] I was speaking of Coonskinner...he would get on my last nerve if I had one! I think I need to ask you...exactly what do you mean regarding breaking up marriages over intimacy with God?

Blessings, Rhoni

Dr. Jeffers said that after he got his Ph.D he found himself digging ditches...said it means "Professional Hole Digger". Can you relate!

You are welcome BTW!

Blessings, Rhoni
