Healings useless? What does the Bible say draws men to repentence? It says that The goodness of God draws men to repentence. Could it be that healing and deliverance is God showing His goodness which is ultimately designed to lead to repentence?

So what if 100% arent healed! More are healed from someone obeying scripture and praying for the sick than if they kept their mouth shut!

Do you refuse medication because it may not cure everyone or alleviate the symptoms of everyone?

It all comes down to following Christ...stepping where He stepped, speaking what He spoke, doing what He did...and praying for the sick is done in that spirit....its emulating Him.

Would you rather stand before God and Him say,"You know, I really didnt expect you to do all that." Or ,"You had my Spirit, my Power and my Word as a command and an example...why did you not obey? Why did you ignore the sick and suffering while bearing my Name and my Spirit in vain?"

Do you think the HolyGhost is just to get you saved and thats it? Thats pretty selfish.

Are you guys looking to validate Torben Whatsisname? Shouldn't we just be focused on what the Bible teaches and follow the Spirit instead of men?

If he's preaching Jesus and encouraging folks to be born again scripturally, and isn't teaching heresy, then what's the hubbub?

And if he isn't doing those things, then who cares what he has to say or what he's doing? No miracle can validate error or heresy, after all.

I have seen the guy who made the video before. I would like to have a link to his channel.

As far as the WAY Torben or others pray for people is between them and God. I ask are people truly being healed? Are they truly repenting? Are they being baptized in Jesus name? Are they receiving the Holy Spirit?

Does all of this lead to people living for Jesus? Obedience to his word? Spending time with him in the secret place?

Believe me Ty I have seen fakery and disobedience and fleshly manifestations many times. I believe myself that much Charismatic/Pentecostal stuff is not of the Spirit.

It is hard to judge Torben or others because we are not there to see the fruit of their lives. So for the moment I would side with him before taking the word of one who seems to reject ANY manifestation of the gifts.

The woman calls him a hypnotist but questions whether he knows he is?

Ty do you believe in speaking in tongues? Practice it?

My point for posting the vid was not so much what the woman was saying but what she was showing Torben doing and how it was similar to what hypnotist's do and then Darren Brown showed how people can fake the shortened leg healing and other healings.

Deception is everywhere in these last days brother, we need to be careful of who we endorse to be of God. I'm not judging Torben, but I am discerning his words and practices in light of the works and teachings of Jesus and His apostles.

Of course I believe in speaking in tongues, perhaps you have forgotten my testimony I shared with you some years ago. When I was baptized in the Holy Spirit I spoke in tongues for over two hours straight and prophesied!

I get what your meaning was Bro. Its just that there are thousands of videos where people ridicule tongues and healing. I have to go by what I see taught in scripture first off. Jesus said these signs shall follow them that believe. Those that attack that I am just as leary of as those who may be faking it or using it as a cloak for other deception.

As far as Torben goes I put up a thread here years ago saying I was impressed with him. The thread was titled something like Impressed By Lutheren!

When I speak well of him it is because he came from Luthernism to a lot more truth. That he is trying to bring sinners to an Acts 2:38....born again experience. He is promoting more than pew warming.

Now if I were to have to judge him on every point of his doctrine (which I dont know) I may not be so positive in my thinking toward him.

I think currently on the basis of his preaching of Acts 2:38 and the fact that he goes out after the sinners to get them saved he is a good example to modern day Apostolics who seem to have ALMOST no interest in that.

I am not so enamored by the WAY he ministers to people on the street but then again I see ALMOST no one else who teaches Acts 2:38 on the street period. So I want to be charitable toward him if possible unless and until I find out some verifiable facts why I should not.

And I thought you spoke in tongues but the video was so cold against tongues and Charismatic/Pentecostal experience I needed confirmation you still stand in this faith.
