Re: Veil of flesh

Yes, very nice. The distinction between our works and God's works--which might very well be the exact same physical works--is made plain there. It is about where one's heart is. I would reiterate that for a codependent--which i am, recovering--this can be impossible to see; and directing people in my situation, who earnestly seek, to this concept can provide them light.

Re: Veil of flesh

I would impress that legislated works are our own works, while those that come through love are those that are of God. Jesus said Love God and love your neighbor as yourself and in doing so fulfill the whole law.
While they may look and seem the same, they are not.
Anytime man legislates it becomes a work of the flesh, and not a work of the spirit.

The veil on the hearts.

Where do you feel that the veil that is the Lord's body
fits in? (Hebrews 10:19-20)

The veil is a type of sin, and Jesus took on the sins of the world. He became the sin that was destroyed at Calvary.

I was thinking it was the veil of the Holiest that was torn to open the way for
all men to enter.
Many do not enter into the Holiest (Throne of Grace) because
they cannot see past the veil.

Thomas saw past the veil and he saw "...my Lord and my God." The Nazarenes
did NOT see past the veil, and only saw "...the carpenter's son..."!

Re: Veil of flesh

The veil was put up due to sin. Man's sin put it up, so it's directly connected to sin.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

So the veil upon the heart and the veil which is the body of Jesus is the same?
