I have known SP I feel for his Dad and the precious saints who have built that church. I won't go into details but knowing CC1 I can promise you there is more than meets the eye. They are having a backdoor revival as folks exit. As far as his style he has done his share of 'screaming' through the years. I hope every last good saint leaves that place before morning.

Then as long as the Thrash Metal is a cover of "I'll fly away" or "Over In The Glory Land" the sound means nothing? If the band Slipknot converted but kept their music the same but just changed the lyrics, you would still view it as worship?
I don't know who slipknot even is but if it glorifies God I think that we should make a place somewhere (maybe not necessarily Sunday worship). I don't think coloring your hair green, having piercing all over your body, growling in a microphone, and beating your guitar on the floor counts as praising God. I am sure there is some music you Or I may not like, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't glorify God.

Everything would be subject to approval, but I am conservatively open minded.

I see you're feeling better.

Re: Welcome Fellow Christians - Steve Pixler 8/17/

I googled slipknot and immediately had to press back. That seems like satanic music and I said specifically music must that gives glory to God. Come on BS you should know there is no way to praise God with music that incites you to be evil. Surely you can see some middle ground here. What if a country music star converts can he sing southern gospel. Church leadership must have some discernment, but at the same time be open minded.

Didn't SP recently preach some big conservative conference? I can't recall details but I am almost certain I recall seeing that somewhere.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Where and when was this sermon preached? Looks to me like 2013? I thought he preached some conservative conference within the past couple of months.
