The next step is critical. Senate Republicans should demand a 60-vote threshold for any effort that would add Obamacare funding back into the House bill. This is the battle line: Senate Republicans must stop Reid from rejecting the House bill and adding Obamacare funding with merely 51 votes.

This is a GREAT article. I love this part as well. This is a true leader!

Regardless, the House should stand its ground, and if Reid kills this Continuing Resolution then the House should pass smaller CRs one at a time, starting with the military. Dare Reid to keep voting to shut down the government.

Once Senate Republicans unite, red-state Senate Democrats will be next. And that is how we win -- by continuing to mobilize the American people to hold every elected official accountable.

Republicans have the momentum. Conservatives defeated the president’s gun control measures to deprive Second Amendment rights from law-abiding Americans. We pushed back on his reckless drone policy. We convinced him to seek congressional approval on military action in Syria.

Now, we’re poised to win our biggest victory for the American people yet: defunding Obamacare. All we have to do is have the will to fight.

Complicit Republicans - the bane of conservatism.

Exclusive–Source: McConnell, Cornyn Whipping Votes Against Ted Cruz

"Right now in the Senate, Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn are actively whipping Senators to shut down debate on the House continuing resolution so that Harry Reid can gut it with just 51 votes,” a senior congressional staffer with intimate knowledge of the situation said in an email to Breitbart News. “Unbelievably, they actually are leading the fight to fully fund Obamacare.”

Cruz wins if he loses. He stands on the side of the American people. Obamacare will cripple our economy and our liberty for all time. Ted Cruz is the #1 Conservative in the country right now.

They hate Cruz because, unlike Obama, he is a traitor to his class. Cruz is from the intellectual elite, but he is not of it.

Nothing to fear on a shutdown.

Re: Repubs plan to stop Obamacare w/o Gov't Shutdo

Marco Rubio stands with Ted Cruz:

"Obamacare is making it harder for hard working Americans to achieve the American Dream,” Rubio said in a statement to TheBlaze. “That is why when I ran for the Senate I pledged to do everything I could to stop Obamacare.”

“A vote for cloture will make it easier for Senate Democrats to preserve this job killing law,” he said. “That is why I will vote no on the motion to cut off debate.”

Cloture… Which Cloture? Or How to Defund ObamaCare in the Senate

For those who don’t spend their free time watching C-SPAN and learning the minutia of Senate procedure (i.e. for normal people with lives), here’s a summary of how this fight over ObamaCare could break down.

The Wrecking Ball Known as ObamaCare

This deliberate ignorance continues to beget denial. Consequently, we find America on the verge of a system that apparently only African and Eastern European acquaintances of mine instantly understand, since they ran away from the very draconian worldview that we will all face in a matter of days if ObamaCare is not stopped dead in its tracks.

As of September 9, 2013, Investor's Business Daily had compiled a list of 258 companies "that have shed work hours, jobs or taken other steps to avoid the costs" of ObamaCare.

Always like Steve Deace.
Quote:
4 People Could be Key to Stopping Obamacare

The first is Republican Senate “Leader” (and I use that term loosely) Mitch McConnell, or “Ditch” as I refer to him because he typically “leads” us into those.

Rand Paul

Mike Huckabee

Re: Repubs plan to stop Obamacare w/o Gov't Shutdo

HOWEVER....the larger scenario and why we might end up with Obamacare:

Mark Levin explains (video embed) that he has figured out why Obama is running around the country talking about ‘default’ in very extreme and radical ways and he believes Obama has revealed these plans to Boehner and McConnell and is using it to twist their arms on Obamacare.

In short, he believes Obama is setting the stage to bypass Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling all by himself. Levin says it would be the worst violation of the Constitution of Obama’s presidency.

He has been testing Congress and doesn't feel they would put up a fight or actually try to impeach him.
