Is this supposed to draw more respect? Move on, in my book. My daddy was licensed UPCI minister for over 30 years- he will stand before God just as I will...you are nuthin special to God- just a man with a piece of paper in his hand. I am so thankful Christ didn't require a license to preach the gospel to a lost and dying world. Just think- He might send you to a town that already boasts a UPCI assembly, and that same UPCI org, will not allow you to obey your call from God- because there is a church already in place. Never mind that it's been there for 40 years, running 20 people, and the pastor is satisfied with THAT. After all, he has a great secular job, and the church is just a part-time gig for him...
Of whom do I speak? No one in particular- it has happened alllll across this country, and I am certain that God is not pleased with it.
Someone WILL pay for the souls lost. God help ALL of you UPCI licensed ministers. You wear it like a badge. Stuff and nonsense. This is the sordid thinking that has made me re-think my love of 'organized religion'. I have a definate loathing for it.
Rest well on your pillow tonight, bro. You have to answer to the same JUDGE as myself one day.

I want to see God deliver people from the bondage of legalism! Too many have traded the shackles of sin for the yoke of legalism and the burden of religion.
There is liberty! There is freedom! There is abundant life outside of the Apostolic movement.

I repented of my sins and was baptized in Jesus' Name at 7 years old. Got the infilling of the HG at 10 yrs old.
I guess that makes ME an APOSTOLIC!!!

I will rest very well tonight thank you.
My what a disrespectful person you are.
No a lic is not required but it helps us know whom we minister among, because not everything that claims to be Aposotlic Pentecost is.
If a man can not respect those over him howcan he expect people to respct him? I may not always agree with everything the org does but it is the best thing going. And if it will stay with what is stated in the articles of faith we will be all right.

Y'all sound like a flock of parrots. This is why your movement is not relevant, is losing young ministers, and losing young people. Let me make this easy to read :
Hebrews 6:1-2 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not have to keep going back to where we started. We began our new life by turning away from the evil we did in the past and by believing in God. That’s when we were taught about baptisms, [a] laying hands on people, [b] the resurrection of those who have died, and the final judgment. Now we need to go forward to more mature teaching.

And YOU, Sir, are haughty and high-minded. PROUD of your so called 'position' in the UPCI.
Wonder who has the best chance of makin it?
As for the UPCI bein the BEST THING GOING..you are delusional....
Go with God.

Re: I love not being Apostolic!!!
Well, I am getting a bit sick with being called an Apostolic.
I keep asking "ministers of the TRUTH" questions like, what did the 'other' Judas teach concerning the resurrection? Or, what did Bartholomew teach on heaven and hell? Or, what did Andrew teach on fear? Mostly all I get are blank stares.
Except for a hand full of proof texts, they have no clue what the apostles actually taught, and they are dogmatic in their ignorance. They would rather read some organizational document, or a book by a church leader than to study the Bible for what God is saying. /Sigh/ Does anyone know for sure what Matthew taught on forgiveness and love?
