Saying "no TV" does not address that problem

Again, you are missing the point. IF my heart is weak, I would hope the doctor puts me on a diet of something besides potatoe chips and ice cream. To say that saying no to tv does not address the problem is incorrect, because the bible is very plain that sometimes we should flee the very apprearance of evil rather than attempt to resist it.
The fact is, in order to change the heart, what is feeding the heart needs to become healthy. Since in our present day, tv is a cesspool of slime, it should not be on the menu. This was originally why the UPCI chose to place it into their bylaws. They knew that if the preacher had a tv, and partook of the secular, carnal entertainment that tv offers, he would be effected by it in a negative way, and eventually it would infect the church body. It has proven to be true.
