Okay...
Could you share with us your interpretation of this scripture.
John 11:26
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
KJV

The saved have passed from death to life the new life comes with the new birth and since it is eternal life there is no end. My soul will never die. I have God's own life in my soul. This has ZERO to do with the context of Rev. 21 & 22.
However the body does die even of saints and are promised a resurrection.

I tried to ask the question I am about to ask once before and it was between Evang Benincasa & mfblume...
Friends... that is too explosive of a combination to get anything done. I finally had to just abandon the thread and let them have at it.
I am not necessarily even trying spark a debate. I am just trying to get a grasp on what the difference is between full & partial preterism.
Brother Moon...
What is the difference between full & partial preterism and why is it important to understand the portion of the doctrine that makes the difference?
|
A lot of people think that some preterist believe that the Rapture happened in 70 AD, but I do not know of any preterist that believes that. I believe, simply put, the diffence between a partial and total preterist is that the partial still believes in a future rapture of the church, the the total preterist do not believe in a rapture at all.

I started a new thread about the differences between partial preterism and full preterism in DEEPER WATERS section. And I show why I think Full Preterism is error. (I promise to not scuffle with Bro Benincasa again while there). ![Wink](http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com/images/smilies/wink.gif) lol. It's all civil and impersonal.

Thank you Bro. Blume.
Unsure why Bro. Benincasa has become so antagonistic, but it is very distracting from the flow of the thread.
I have gleaned some from Bro. Benicasa in times past, but his insistance on trying to prove or corner Bro. Blume on something is not very mature. IMHO

Rev 21:5-6
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
KJV
I believe that we've gone over verse 5, but, verse 6... what is the water of life? We will not need the water of life once we are in heaven. But to have ever lasting life, we now must partake of it....

River of life?
THE GOOD OLD HOLY GHOST!
Just as the river of life flows from the throne of God and the Lamb, showing the Lamb who approached the throne in Rev 5 now sits with the Father ( Rev 2:21), Peter said the Holy Ghost WAS SHED FORTH (river language) from the fact that Jesus sat on the right hand, the throne of David, having made atonement for us. That is why the Lamb is on the throne in Rev 22, shedding forth the Holy Ghost baptism. It is a constant state of intercession for us, and so the river flows from the throne constantly.
Quote:
Rev 22:17 KJV And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Joh 7:37-39 KJV In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (39) (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Act 2:33 KJV Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
|
Acts 2:33 interprets Rev 22:1!
God and the Lamb are the temple.
Quote:
Rev 21:22 KJV And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev 22:1 KJV And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Eze 47:1 KJV Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
1Co 6:19 KJV What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
