So my opinion is enfluenced by their first hand knowledge and understanding.

But I am giving you first hand opinion. I was a heavy pot smoker for that time. I have done LSD, Mescaline, Magic Mushrooms, ect. Im not for unrealistic punishment for those who do these things. I mean the Lord showed me great mercy during those years. After I was saved I did not narc anyone out tho I certainly could have. I do believe we should be like Jesus of whom it was written he "loved righteousness and hated iniquity". Because of that very thing God anointed him with the oil of gladness above his fellows.

Im just saying from first hand experience I have seen some very messed up people in the drug scence way back then I suppose its even worse now. I want to set the record straight that pot is not just a nicey, cool thing to be dealing with.

Re: Drug Decriminalization

The FACT is prohibition doesn't work. It didn't in the 30s and it isn't now.

People who want to become intoxicated will do so, regardless of laws or penalties or the war on SOME drugs.

What is needed is REVIVAL in America. Then people will repent of their drug use REGARDLESS of the 'laws'.

And since not EVERYBODY will convert, obviously, some folks will STILL seek to be intoxicated.

Alcohol use is more common, and more deadly and more debilitating, than most (if not all) 'illicit drug' use combined.

And yet God did not enact alcohol Prohibition when He gave His perfect and holy Law to Israel.

It's a problem routed entirely in the spiritual condition of a culture, and is unsolvable by 'congressional legislation'.

Especially when the nation is in the grip of ever deepening apostasy, as we are.

I stopped one day to buy a lid off a guy on the way to work. It was Jamacian and I thought I will just take a few hits to test it out. Within just a few minutes it felt like I was tripping. Then I had to drive to work and face several hours of the worse time I ever had on the job. I was so glad when I came down. Due to my altered perception I could have been killed or killed someone else there.

Because I know the potential of how hard a Marijuana stone can be I certainly dont see it as just a small thing.
Yes Michael I agree that as a street drug there is real potential for smoking something much worse then MJ. I've had a similar experience with 'Angel Dust' and spent half a day in a Miami hotel laundromat not able to walk because I couldn't feel my legs after just a few tokes of a joint..

That is one reason I am for legalizing... People who want to smoke pot will smoke pot and they are better off if it is regulated and safe.

I spent time in Humbolt county 3 years ago with a family matter that dragged on... Medical MJ is legal there and just about everybody has a card. It was very discouraging to deal with social workers and even an attorney who were obviously (to me) altered... but not much different then dealing with doctors in Texas who still do the three martini lunch.

Another problem that would have to be addressed is that while a company could ban it during work hours it would be almost impossible to test for because it has such a long half life and lingers in the system for over a month.

There certainly would be a lot of issues to work out and I'm not suggesting it would be easy but I think it is the way things are headed.

For the Christian I believe that mind altering chemicals, including THC, have no place.

However, I did read it.
It appears they have sliced and diced the data, to fit their conclusions.

In spite of some issues with wikipedia, I find them fairly reliable and here is what they say;
