Lol--well, I was thinking of the accepted Canonical works. The others contain Spirit, or not. Prolly mostly not, but their fruit can't be hidden, either.
That was my original question. What canon is "the accepted" one? Many to choose from, among Christians. What is your favorite?

Personally, T, gonna have to disappoint, I guess, as my fave was realizing that the Book is a starting point, an arrow to Spirit, with instructions for discernment, whereby Dr Seuss can now be pursued. More correct than the Catholic versions, imo.

Ignore the cannons. This is about the written Word of God. You quote it all the time, in posts. Seem to think it can prove your assertions, such as the definitive method of discerning spirits. Well, what is the written Word of God? Apparently, I John is. You've quoted other ancient texts, haven't you? How do you know which is inspired by God and true, and which isn't?

Ah, sorry--I was thinking about that post last night, lol.
I certainly don't mean that I find Spirit lacking in many, many Catholics; which just reinforces for me the relative irrelevance of a Canon compared to Spirit anyway.
I'm just not comfortable with the Re-wording, redaction, etc. in the Catholic Canon, but the same principles seem to mostly make their way through, anyway.

and I'm surely not expert yet; but discernment
is profound.
Also, these texts are by and large mankind's distilled wisdom? If sometimes obscured by the idiom of the day--but imo, nothing essential can really be lost, and Spirit is apparent? what do you think about "Bible Code?" I tend to hold the Pentateuch a bit higher for this?
