Yep. If I can remember correctly because I did not pay much attention to Prudhoe Bay back in the 70s, the american people were told that the Alaskan pipeline would ease our dependence on foreign oil. The American taxpayer money went to that pipeline and guess what? We are still dependent on foreign oil while much of our own oil goes to foreign countries. How stinky is that?

UH ya. This is just like the guy who buys a generator to power some massive halogen lights to point as his solar panels to produce electricity for his house.
