Re: Trinitarians Are Of The Devil
There is much that could be said here, however, I will limit my comments. The title of the thread and the real subject of the thread must be separated. Trinitarians are no more of the devil than are any other religiously motivated group. Trinitarians are people and thus are NOT of the devil.
Trinitarian doctrine, on the other hand, is a heresy that was developed by the enemy of our souls. I think it is important to understand that there are at least two doctrines of the trinity. The Eastern Trinitarian doctrine which many would call the “orthodox” doctrine, clearly teaches a three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) in one team (godhead) concept. When asked they will adamantly proclaim that there are three separate and distinct persons of the godhead. Ask them “how many will be in heaven?” They will say three.
Here in the west, the doctrine has evolved to the place that most of the people (Trinitarians) you talk to, will tell you they only believe in one God. In fact, I have heard some Trinitarian preachers preach the oneness of God better than some oneness preachers. However, they will conclude that the trinity is a mystery that we cannot understand but we must accept by faith. Ask them “how many will be in heaven?” They will say one.

Re: Trinitarians Are Of The Devil
I have found that many Trinitarians are actually borderline Oneness anyway. I recently heard one major Trinitarian pastor say they needed to preach the doctrine of the Trinity and emphasise the distinction between it and the Oneness position (not that he phrased it like that). He then made it sound like there were three gods in the godhead.
I listen to some Trinitarian preachers, and wish that I pound my head on the wall, door, counter, pick your place, because they will be so close to the Oneness position but will jump back quick enough to give you whiplash.

I think it depends on what a theologian means by substance, "person", or "persons". If he theologically believes they are separate substances of same nature, each having a subsistent reality with their distinct substance...then yes, he has three Gods.
However, if a Trinitarian believes that a "person" is primarily one of three eternal subsistent realities existing within one divine substance, he has one God who is eternally revealed in three distinct and eternal modes of existence.

Re: Trinitarians Are Of The Devil
I think the answer to "Are there One, or Three?" is yes, personally. I trust that my concept of God is incomplete at best, and I already know that God has many names that this conversation ignores, and the title just denies. most of these names you could not pronounce, and would not grasp if the explanation came in a book. So does Christ, and you surely know a couple of them, the (actually minor, surely) ones that humans can grasp.
Who here has not seen a person that they know, in a different setting, performing other offices that were heretofore unfamiliar to us, wondering "where do I know that guy from?" Is just the first of many parallels that come to mind.

Re: Trinitarians Are Of The Devil
I have enjoyed reading some of your post.
It is written that jesus was the word and always shall be the word.
Several times when visitors visited Abraham and Isaac, or Jacob the visitors are reffered to as all 3 of them being God.
Please remember that God is beyond our understanding.
my body has a worldly flesh part and a soul that is eternal. That is 2 parts of me. hmmmmmmmm
I am going to make you all think. I like challenge you all.

Ha, yup. Sweet. You beg one to ask for an expansion of "some," in your post.
