This is a shocker! I saw him in concert a few years ago and I would agree that his style doesn't seem like a good fit with RP's need to excite the church every service.

At the time Jeff was the music director at the World of Pentecost Church in Austin, TX.

Just before he was to move and take the job Jeff backed out. His dad was a UPC Pastor who was very upset at the prospect. That and other pressure caused Jeff to back out and stay at WOP but things were never the same once it was clear he was willing to leave and he ended up leaving anyway not too long later.

Wasn't it Jeff Switzer who played an unbelievably mean sax?
