Newborns are great!!!! Not real stinky.... three months... +++++ to hopefully a 1 1/2 to 2 no more.... you'll get real stinky!!!! but when the day of graduating from paper thrones to porcelain comes ....You say..

Oh what a day that will be...
When No Diapers I smell
No one to cry until I change
No stinky bottoms to wash away...

Then I'll take you by the hand
and lead you to
that porcelain land

What a day oh What a Day
that will be....

Then you'll break down crying.....

We went to my son's piano recital and then after it, we went to get ice cream. On the way, we drove past my brother's house. He is a single parent and has to get up at 2:30 am to get to work. So the rule is that his girl's (ages 13 & 17) are to stay inside and no one is allowed over after he goes to bed (usually at about 8:00). So that night we drove past and found my niece standing outside of the open bathroom window with her boyfriend. And the other niece had her boyfriend upstairs with her in her bedroom!!

I see things like this going on, and then I see even worse things - yesterday they arrested a kid in the middle school for drug trafficing!!!!!! And then I thank God for how great my boys are. They are active in our youth group, they play in the ensemble at church, our oldest one loves to go to the Sr. High Bible Study, our youngest plays piano, guitar and saxaphone, the oldest plays baritone, they're both good students, etc.etc. I have no REAL complaints Isn't God good!!!!!!
Amen~Our two older kids 20 & 23 are in collage, the younger one who's 17 has a year left of high school then off to collage for her. So far we've not had drinking or drugs problem or partying with any of our children , they are active in many groups within the community as well as their youth group . And your so right what you see going on with so many youth today is down right scary to say the least~

This is Good...

A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to "Dad." With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter:

Dear Dad:
It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you.

I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it's not only the passion...Dad she's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for herpes so Stacy can get better. She deserves it.

Don't worry Dad. I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren.

Love, Your Son John

PS. Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in my center desk drawer. I love you. Call me when it's safe to come home!
