A neighboring pastor (one of my best friends) told me this story. It happened in his church several years ago.

One of the men in his church was (at the time) a very reckless person. He did not know what "caution" meant. He began to express his desire to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle. However, his wife was FRANTIC about it -- she just KNEW he won't be careful and would end up killing himself.

She eventually took the matter to the pastor, who agreed and did his best to convince the man that it wasn't a good idea for him. He reluctantly agreed, but continued to express his desire for a Harley.

During this time, the pastor was teaching a Bible study one night and mentioned the "Strange Woman" in the Book of Proverbs. He said, "This woman was a Harlot."

Suddenly, the man's young daughter piped up, loud enough for everyone to hear: "A harlot? That's what my daddy's ALWAYS wanted."

As if that wasn't bad enough, she continued: "But my momma and my pastor won't let him have one."
I seem to have this uncanny knack for writing some of my best posts only to have them end up at the bottom of a page and inadvertently getting overlooked. I'm bumping this one before this thread goes off to the Never-Never Land of Page 2.

KP, after you post a story like this people walk softly because you have them all wondering if you preach against riding motorcycles...
