Re: Do You Believe in Women Pastors?

Yes I understand that Brother Sam,but still we find qualifications for deacons in the scripture but not for deaconesses, but I'm not exactly sure what the implications of Phobe's servanthood are ,we aren't too much details.I'm not against women ministering per se but quite honestly there are some things that the scriptures don't say too much about.
But there may have been women who served in a capacity similiar to deacons in the early church.

I need to study it out some more.

I thought it was interesting that a woman could be excused from even going to church in order to handle her more pressing obligation of taking care of small children.

Do you believe a woman can be biblically consistent, and be a pastor? In other words, are women prohibited from being a pastor?
I don't believe they are prohibited in the sense that being a pastor means they are sinning. I believe they aren't naturally equipped for certain types of leadership, and that a woman's primary obligations to husband, children and home will normally provide a natural prohibition.

A case can be made for making exceptions for a single woman (although I'm not sure it's wise for a single person to pastor a church--male or female), or a woman whose husband is supportive of her ministry.

It very well mean that a man who is a bishop should be a one woman man.
If a man is the church and his wife leaves him and has remarried, and he was the innocent party is he not free to remarry again in the Lord, and is he disqualified from serving as a bishop ? Or before a man comes to God and his has been divorced and after his salvation experience ,could not God call him into the ministry ?

These are some questions to ponder.

Ok. Fair enough.

You don't believe nothing in scripture speaks to this, or prohibits it in any way.

Re: Do You Believe in Women Pastors?

I appreciate the role of women in the Christian church, but honestly I don't see female Bishops in the bible.

Well, there's this, which has to be unraveled....

I Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
I Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

These are some questions to ponder.
Another question is whether a single man can pastor because he is not the husband of one wife.

another question is why did Paul call Phoebe a deacon/servant/minister and say that a deacon/servant/minister was to be the husband of one wife

another question would be how could Jesus say a woman did not have (present tense) a husband when she had had (past tense) 5 husbands and was living with someone who was not her husband?

another question is what if a man's wife dies, can he remarry?

another question is, does that just mean one husband at a time?
