My Canadian cousin who didn't fit the profile for ovarian cancer because she was too young couldn't get in to see a doctor for months and she died.

Re: What Could Go Wrong in the U.S.
We have a family friend who is a nursing supervisor in a Chicago hospital. She has confirmed that there are a good many (numbers not available) of Canadians who have serious illness, and who can afford it, come into the states for their medical treatment. Reasons range from the quality of care to availability of care.
This same argument has been published by a number of different news organizations over the past several years, Fox being one of them.

Where will they go if Obamacare takes effect, they'll be hard pressed to find better health care then America until the left got ahold of it.

Could be worse. She could be in the US and be uninsured. Then she could be driven around the corner and dumped in the street.

No, that is what will happen when Obamacare takes full affect! When she can't afford the insurance is is required to buy, fined for not buying it, and not qualifying for any other kind of assistance at all!
Until Obamacare takes full affect, she could still qualify for medical assistance like my wife currently does. Medicare plus state assistance, plus hospital/doctor assistance care. Further, while without such assistance she would have died over five years ago, we also recognize that someone else is contributing to her medical care, in addition to the monthly premiums she and I are currently paying out of our Social Security checks.
To help off set that difference, she provides a much needed volunteer services to the medical center.
However, it seem as though you are a socialized medicine supporter. But I have seen it practiced throughout Europe, from the 30's through today. It is a colossal failure, except for the rich and powerful (those exempt for its affects). Thank you, but no thank you.

Re: What Could Go Wrong in the U.S.
Noted is the US debt compared to the debt of the countries with public systems where not only do they not run out of "other people's money" they live longer AND the people do not run out of their own money either. I have the luxury of comparing both and I like public healthcare.

Re: What Could Go Wrong in the U.S.
Dumping the uninsured around the corner happens now.
There is no insurance, billing, medicaid, or medicare in a public healthcare system. With or without Obamacare I am interested in why (before) Obamacare with all these wonderful programs and 3x the expenditures you die sooner. There is no developed country in the world with lower lifespan yet the healthcare system in the US is defended rigorously. Why?
In Europe they also live longer. That, sir, is assuredly not a failure.

Have you considered that the lower lifespan (if that is correct), may be based on our woeful nutrition?
