Next time Jeffy why don't you start a thread that says "If you disagree with me or the content of what I posted, please keep your opinions to yourself wah wah"...Im sure that will get a few laughs.

I have to agree. This Prax guy reads a paragraph and proceeds to talk out of his backside.

My panties are fine, hot shot behind the computer. Nice and cozy. Thanks!
Who said you criticized the message or content? Where did you imagine that? I'd high-five you if you did... or at least have a little more respect for your contribution. Instead, you struck out twice: You felt the need to say the guy sucks at writing, and made that judgement based on a paragraph. I take it as flattery that you think I'm JR. Fact is, I've never met JR.
You are not getting put on blast because you've "disagreed with me or the content that was posted" and surely you aren't that dense to get that after much repetition. So, as you routinely accuse other's of doing: You can stop putting words in my mouth now

Re: The Hubris behind "The Full Truth"
At the end of the day.. fine, have an opinion the guy is a sucky writer. It's just pretty lame, Praxy the Admin, when someone shows you a blog and wants to talk about the subject -- and even says "this is well done" and the response is "he sucks...", and you later learn that this person took a whole 30 seconds to form that conclusion.
Say he sucks. I don't know him. My ire isn't a personal defense of JR. It's how ridiculous half of the comments on this post immediately were. I didn't expect ANY comments (due to the length of the post -which I tried to break up by providing snippets). Instead, some lazy, negative comments that are completely misinformed.
It's unfortunate the subject of the post has STILL not been discussed on this thread: the danger of the "we have the 'full truth'" dogma and how that plays out.

Come down from there....

So if I said his ideas are idiotic you'd not throw a hissy fit and start attacking me?
But say I didn't agree it was well written and you get your panties in a bunch and go nuts?
Good grief.
So let me get this straight, If I had read the entire article and not just the snippets you posted and still have the opinion it was not well written you'd behave much different?
Or if I said his ideas are idiotic Jeffy would be a much kinder gentler guy?
Really?

What does being an admin have to do with it? Why are you so defensive over me saying I didn't agree it was well written? You say that was lame but you're being petty
BTW it COULD have been discussed. I might have even read after my initial response to your post and quotes, but you are so absorbed with the notion that someone didn't agree with you that it was well written that you continue to press the petty issue with me.

Well, I'd probably still engage you to explain WHY, but yeah, that's what I'm saying. There would be MUCH less "hissy."
For the rest of what you said... huh? Are you not following?

yeah, that's the point. Supposedly I could argue the guys ideas are the product of an moron and you'd be just fine but dare say it was not well written and you get upset? That's rather petty.
See I'd understand if I said what the guy wrote is idiotic and you take issue with that, since you agreed with him so much, but to get upset that I disagreed it was well written? That's silly.

You didn't say "I don't agree it's not well-written." You basically said the guy writes like a 6th grader --- and I'm calling you out on that because YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ THE BLOG!!!!!! You read a few lines and then thought you'd talk smack about the guy. Call it petty if you'd like. I call your comments quite petty.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda.
So you're the night guy on the Admin team? Keep at it, work hard and someday you'll get the "prime time" position

Why not NOT engage me on why I thought it was not well written? You did ask why I thought that. Then rather than get all bent out of shape you and I would not be having THIS discussion.
Face it, if you didn't want this discussion it would not have happened. It takes at least 2 persons to have one

You could have an opinion on anything you'd like. When you get caught with your pants down, throwing out opinions that are lazy and misinformed, calling it "petty" is your prerogative.
It's not just that you said it wasn't written well. You clearly didn't even take the time to understand his writing style. Can't you see that, Prax? It wasn't your opinion, it was your decision to flippantly put JR on blast. And I find that comical because the kid could write circles around you.

Actually I said
Quote:
I don't know why anyone would think that was well written
|
You went on about being cry babies, then queried me on why I said what I said and in the course of my explaining to you why I thought it was not well written I said somethings. Again, I gave my opinion, you wanted to argue over it
In fact I probably won't even read the blog as long as Im supposed to have happy feel good thoughts only on what the guy wrote
