Here is a review for an excellent Asus brand notebook. Toshiba is also making very reliable machines right now.

Thanks to everyone for all of the GREAT advice, I will let you know when I make my purchase!! (and wait for the fall out, obviously this is one of those areas where everyone has very strong opinions....)
