Oh well. You best believe that if there was a trend of elected Democrat officials being unfaithful to their spouses Hannity and Rush would be all over these guys, questioneing their integrity and character as they continue to do grave injustice to the moral fabric of our nation!
HYPOCRITES!!!!!

I disagree ... it is a lust issue along with the others. In fact, I'd say it was a lust issue before the others ... everyone has temptation. Many struggle with lust, but still have the integrity and character not to give in to that lust. This man had that lust, but somewhere lost the other traits and succumbed to his desires.

I didn't ask this question online before, but I had a relative ask me this:
How different would the situation have been if Sarah Palin's daughter's boy friend was Black?
I don't intend to hijack this thread, but it's just more fuel to add to the fire concerning the subject of my party's HYPOCRISY!!!

Race has nothing to do with this ... however I do believe the party was hypocritical with regard to Palin.
The party has always been family values, etc. However, McCain and Palin brought this new type of family values to the party where it's okay for a teenage daughter to be preggers, and it's okay to parade the teenage couple in front of the world as though it's acceptable what they did. Not only that, but now we find out this boy was allowed to spend the nights with his girlfriend at the Governor's manson.
If a Democrat did this, Republicans would be outraged!
This is one reason I didn't and never will support Palin.
But race shouldn't be brought into this discussion.

n David this is the man who beat Clinton to death for lying. So high and mighty. How come you don't call him the same names you call Clinton. He is a liar. He has the morals of an alley cat. The leading man of the repugnat party for prez in 2012 until today or will you and the rest of the moral majority still vote for him?

1) The governor isn't a scum. He's like a lot of men who struggle with infidelity, but unfortunately don't have the integrity to keep from falling.
2) I don't know what was said by this Governor about Clinton. I do remember one problem Republicans had with Clinton was a) use of the Oval Office for his sex acts and b) his lying under oath about it.

3) I'm calling you on this ... show me where I've called Clinton any names. You won't find it, but you're welcome to try.
Both Clinton and this Governor are wrong for what they did, but beyond them having an affair you cannot compare the two.
You call this man a liar ... At least he had the guts to get in front of the cameras and admit to what he did. That's a far cry from Clinton's finger wagging lies and sending his aides out to propogate his lies.
You say he has the morals of an alley cat, yet he's only - at this time - admitted to one affair. Compare that to Clinton who couldn't keep his zipper up. Not just Monica ... but many others.
You're a prime example of what I meant when I stated idiots will beat this horse dead. And that's another reason Sanford should resign.
4) Until yesterday, I didn't know Sanford was a 2012 prospect.
Now, had you actually read my posts, you'd find I'm not covering for Sanford at all. I want him to resign. I think what he did is wrong. He not only had the affair, but abused his office and state finances in doing so. I'll also state that if he's violated any laws by using state finances or with his leaving the state without notifying the next in succession ... then he needs to be prosecuted for it.

Adultery aside, this governor needs to resign for his neglect of duty.

Agreed.
