PP,
my read of BOOMM's simile was a comparision of the degree or relative reaction of his own [BOOMM's] disagreement.

I did not see any linkage between you and Thad.

It felt like your comment "like I care..." might have been somewhat reactionary and possibly cutting.

Oh, so that is the rub.

You completely lost the point then.

"Freakycons" may have slain their thousands, but liberalism has slain its ten thousands.

For every church you can name that becomes cultic, I just about guarantee you I can name half a dozen that went off the rails doctrinally through compromise.

At least one saw it clearly.

I weep for all that has been slain...on BOTH altars and I ask God to please give our family balance and His precious kindness when dealing with souls. May our spirits be right and our burden ever renewed.

Now when I read this, I ponder....maybe the core premise is the manner in which we assemble has its construct in man's wisdom and not God's.

If both sides of CS's comment have merit (whichever gets the count =1 and whichever gets the count = 6), maybe there is a deeper systemic thing at work.

That other United Pentecostals who do not hold to the same fruity principles espoused by the "fence building Pharisees" are lost (including our highest leadership).

The constant desire to find ways to expel people from the kingdom instead of gathering them into it. This is offensive to God, and reeks in His nostrils.

Extremists existed on both sides back when they just met together wherever possible in the Book of Acts.

There were judaizers then, and there were the Corinthians.

I love and respect you, but I completely disagree with you.

The lack of growth is telling.

That argument is specious.

There are conservative churches that are growing, Brother.

(Incidentally, my feelings aren't hurt by disagreement...if two people agree on everything, one of them is doing all the thinking.)
