Re: *SHOCK* Rick Warren 2 give Invocation@Inaugera

You have to believe Jesse Jackson feels duped. I mean, this grand occassion, having the honor of being the minister to lead the invocation.

There's not a chance that Louis Farrakhan was even mentioned for this. First of all, he's Nation of Islam, which is not even a proper Muslim group. (Both Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims consider them heretics, because the NOI believes a guy named Wallace Fard is God.) Second, Farrakhan has said many, many things in the past that are definitely anti-Semitic and anti-Jewish. Jews are an important constituency among Democrats. Third, given all the hooraw over the undeniably false rumor that Obama's a Muslim, do you think that Obama would even go there and give his enemies ammunition?

I didn't say that he would...I was just responding to the question posed here: "Why not Farrakhan?"

My point was that he will just have to eventually accept that there will always be a segment of people that he cannot win with no matter what decision he makes.

Really? He has claimed all along that he is Christian. Even Wright is "Christian" by definition, though you, I and millions of other Americans would say otherwise. Rumor has it, he has been visiting a PAW church in Chicago (or was) after the Wright episode. I'm not sure how much church-attending he has been doing lately.

Please - I don't believe he's any type of christian. Muslim leaders around the world are urging him to come out and reveal his true religion.

The PAW church you mentioned is very prominant politically, in Chicago.
what does that tell you? BTW, they dropped out of PAW back in January

My personal opinion is you cannot claim to be a Christian and believe in abortion/partial birth abortion.

I agree. Yet many of our "brethern" and "sisters" do. Not all liberals are non-Christians. But I completely agree with your opinion.

Re: *SHOCK* Rick Warren 2 give Invocation@Inaugera

I think are some people on here with a secret crush on President-Elect Obama.
It's like that 10 year girl who keeps saying how disgusting that little boy is because it's all they can think about.

He's not a muslim. He has claimed to be a Christian. Maybe he's not your preferred brand of Christian. {None of you are mine. I hope} That doesn't discount his personal belief.

It doesn't matter what he claims - you can't be a Christian and believe in abortion - PERIOD.
