I have a perfect rating on ebay... safe buyer for sure... I found it odd that sellers did not have any recourse. As a buyer it makes my good rating meaningless. If you cannot rate me down for not paying then what does a good rating mean anymore?

I bought a Selmer C* mouthpiece tonight. As usual I paid immediately upon winning the auction.

Good thing!  I will admit to having sick humor. I can't apologize for it, because that's not going to change any time soon. I did send Mizpeh a PM apologizing. She doesn't know me that well.

i've never looked into Craigslist although i've heard alot about it. The real ? is....do I need another way to spend money? I do rather well on my own!

Well, they could leave u a neutral or positive indication and then their remarks could be negative, it accomplishes the same thing. Or their remarks could be phrased in a way that could be easily construed as negative w/out being obvious about it.
Like: "Not sure how payment got lost in the mail four times, but when pymt finally arrived all was well."
Something like that. 
It really does stink though. I prep for my upcoming move to the mid-west I have started selling stuff off. I have a pool table that I have literally sold on Ebay four times since this summer and the buyers ALL backed out after the auction ended for no apparent reason other than they had buyers remorse. I contacted Ebay and they basically said, "Sorry 'bout that!" and there is nothing I can do about it, I can't even leave negative feedback about them.
Had another buyer take a $300 pair of sunglasses that were new in the box, complained about the, scratched them, claimed they were scratched by me and sent them back. I sent them back to her here and told her to kiss my hinder parts. She wasn't happy and since she was an attorney she started threatening lawsuits and such. It was ridiculous. I finally settled w/her and gave her $20 back to get rid of her.
From a seller's standpoint Ebay has definitely changed, and not for the better, imo.
