Uh ... that's a pretty big accomplishment at JCM.
And hey, those shirts were the height of fashion in 1976 for the big time UPC preacher not in the pulpit.
But yeah, wearing those shirts today they'd think we just came from the nearest gay rights rally.

Yeah, I remember those fashions (and I use that word loosely). The shirts, the leisure suits. I finally got one of those leisure suits. Got the shirt with the wide collars. Trouble was, by the time I got them- they were outta style. Remember the bell bottomed pants with the cuffs? Remember the wide ties with a knot so big it looked like you had a soft ball ball under your chin? Alhhh... the good old days. May they go down in history, never, ever to return!

Re: Tim Landry - Bought My Lunch
Double knit was the bomb in the 70's - - it was hot and ugly, but worked well for washing and wearing!
I posted this on Facebook's JCM Alumni - talk about UGLY!!! These were our chorale dresses that we had to wear for two weeks every night!

Re: Tim Landry - Bought My Lunch
I think I've posted this one before - we had a 50's day. Actually, the fashion wasn't as bad as the 70's were!
Mr. Landry is on the hood doing the Fonzy thing! I'm in the middle.
There are a couple other distinguished ministers in that pic too!

Why was Sharon in a different dress? Why was she even there? This is after we graduated. I'm confused.

Oh, yeah, girly shirts.

I believe I was at that service.
That would have been a chorale tour stop at Eastwood in Lake Charles just a few weeks after Renda, Pam and me graduated.
Sharon was there because she and David were Murrell Ewing's ministers of music at the time.
The next school year, 1978-1979, Patt Jett and Phyllis Newlin would be returning juniors and Joy Cole and Kathy Braddy would be returning seniors.
