When I read the initial report for myself in reading about how Obama was determined to be the most liberal, and I read that about McCain, I was floored that people were referencing that report so much and skipping over that glaring fact.

McCain has a lifetime rating at 82.3% according to American Conservative Union.

Yeah, but I have not heard anyone even address what the National Journal said about being unable to grade him in this current Congress. Oh well...

Oh, I see what you are saying. I'll look at that later this evening.

I've laid it out here several times already, but it is out there for all to see.

This is too easy!

1. There is not an American alive that has a better grasp on the greatest challenge to our way of life and freedom and safety than John McCain! He understands the military, war, dealing with enemies, dealing with terrorists, he is well traveled and well versed in the complexities of foreign relations and foreign policy. His performance at the debate was incredible with his grasp of the issues. There is nothing more important---even the economy---than the War on Terror. McCain will execute the war in a way that will bring victory, will bring resolution and will bring increased security.

2. McCain will appoint struct constructionist judges to the Supreme Courtin the tradition of Scalia, Roberts,Thomas and Alito. The legislating from the bench that the Dems and liberals have been accomplishing for decades will come to an end.

3. McCain has a strong reputation for fighting against the corruption and special favors of Washington. He is an equal opportunity critic of the inequities of the Washington political machine. If there is anyone who will clean up the govenrment and bring an end to waste and superfluity, its McCain. I believe he will govern a lot like Ronald Reagan.

4. Taxes will go down under McCain. Lower taxes is good for all of us and the economy. The best way to get out of this huge financial mess is to lower taxes. Both Reagan and Bush proved that lower taxes increases tax revenue.

NOW BIG BOY---PONY UP ON THOSE COMPELLING REASONS FOR OBAMA----AND WE WANT SPECIFICS---NOT JUST KUMBAYA, FUZZY FEELINGS AND CHILLS RUNNING UP YOUR SPINE!

I guess I missed it. Sorry. Could you link your responses or are they too buried?

Probably buried, but in a nutshell he was actually the only Senator out of all the primary candidates who they were unable to grade dur to the fact that he did not vote enough to qualify. In order to be graded, you could not miss more that one half of the votes in the three major categories. Apparently McCain missed more than half the votes on Foreign Policy and the economy. I just found it ironic that so many people were accusing Obama of being the one who did not vote. I later discovered that McCain has missed more votes than anyone in the current Congress.
I'm not saying that this is all the reason one needs to not vote for McCain, I just find it very telling that people were very riled up when they thought this about Obama, but not even the slightest upset when seeing that it is actually true about McCain. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching two teams play a game and the only rule is that your team is always right and the other is always wrong.

Okay, I remember that. I'll have to check on the details of the missed votes to see if they mattered whether he voted or not. I don't know. I haven't looked into it.

Okay, but the point still is that if we were to discover that about Obama there probably would not be this propensity to delve deep enough to see why he missed the majority of the votes...especially since everybody else seemed to show up and since Foreign policy and the economy are kind of a big deal.
I guess I'll quit my rant about partisanship, but it is the death of common sense and accountability in my opinion.
