Obama's version of change is at best unclear.
I was making the parrallel to another problematically youthful candidate who made a primary campaign issue a "promise to get America moving again".
I guess I probably should stay out of these political debates because I do try to be objectice. I realized that most of the time I ended up lining up on the opposite side on many issues (which is why I kept stating that I am not an Obama supporter to be clear.) I just feel like a lot of what McCain is doing are mistakes and that they will sit very well with his conservative base but not do well with the objective viewer.

Tell the truth, Stew. Secretly, you want Obama to win. Go ahead, admit. You will feel better. You know when you listen to his speeches hope rises up in you.

To be honest with you, I'm not sure that I'll feel better no matter which of the two do win. I've said before that I was a hardcore Bush supporter at one point, but many things have opened my eyes to many things. I will not blindly offer allegiance to any man or party in "good faith", no matter what he looks like.

well, now your talking. John Kennedy did in fact have a promise to "get America moving again" as we are in a bit of an economic down turn.

Kennedy in fact had a real PLAN. part of that plan was to lower marginal tax rates. It worked. Kennedy's call for change, if you want to use that term was backed by a very clear plan of action.

my freind objectivity is great. keep in the game. Its quite fun....

Sister, take comfort in this one fact people seem to have forgotten. No President ever gets his way 100% of the time. In Washington, compromising is how things get done and how we move forward. Obama isn't going to be any different. He isn't going to get his way all the time, and he certainly isn't going to get every piece of legislation through both houses of Congress. The only reason Bush has gotten away with so much is because he took advantage of the outrage and fear America felt after 9/11.

Hey!! I like Bush.

Now...back to our conversation.....so it could be the same with McCain. Mr. Obama just doesn't seem like he is proud to be an american. With all the good and the bad....I am VERY proud to be an American.

I used to like Bush too. Not anymore.

If Obama wasn't proud to be an American, do you think he would be running for the highest office of the land? Being President of the United States has to be the single most stressful job in the world. I see Obama as being very proud to be an American.
