That's how I personally feel about it. Everyone is different.
To say that God raised her up is one thing. To say that God raised someone from the dead without knowing for sure is not honest.

Ok, I can accept that.

But what of the biblical accounts of those raised from the dead? What of Jesus himself?

One could easily say we have more medical means of pronouncing the dead than they did then...

I'm thinking if we have to have concrete 2008 medical evidence of someone being dead before we could believe it, maybe we're missing something.

However, no matter if Sis Freeman was dead, or only near death, it was God who gave her back her life for a while longer. I'm thankful he did.

Re: Nona Freeman died last Sunday? Collapsed? ...

I prayed for a baby once that had not been breathing for several minutes and had turned a greyish color...I have always felt the baby was dead but of course I had no way of really knowing...what I do know the baby sneezed and turned back the pinkish color...
Was the baby really dead? I do not know...however I witnessed color and movement come back into the baby...

Whatever...God is a God of impossible situations and He has done many notable miracles here in Brazil and some have been confirmed by the doctors. Knowing that I am sure whatever happened, however it happened she recieved a miracle from God.

Gotcha! Sorry. Just finished a 12 hour shift.

I would say that these things happened because Scripture states that they did.

I'm concerned with honesty. I've heard too many people say things publicly that were not true and attribute them to God.

Re: Nona Freeman died last Sunday? Collapsed? ...

RD, Sis. Freeman is saying she was "raised up" that she collapsed and has no memory of anything at all until she came to. The others around her watched her "fall" (actually, someone caught her before she hit the floor) and they began to pray. Sandra said the pastor said, "Never heard a prayer meeting the likes of that one." They had several of the medical professionals check her, found no pulse, her eyes were fixed and dialted and it took SEVERAL minutes for her to come around and when she did, she wanted to finish preaching her message and she did while lying on the floor.

So to say she was raised from the dead, only God knows, but that she was "raised up", I believe she was. I wasn't there and didn't see it happen, just heard it from the lady herself and her daughter.

God is a God of miracles. Did we have one? I believe so, it just depends on how much you want to believe God or judge everything by "fleshly" avenues. ( I guess I should have said human, but oh well.)

I'm slamming you, I understand the need to want to KNOW for sure, but sometimes, you just have to have faith.

You may have missed where I said that I've got no problem with saying that God raised her up. I've got a problem with saying that she was dead when we don't know for sure. If we knew for sure that would be different.

Well, the medical professionals there believe she was, so I guess that's got to account for something.

Not trying to be argumentative with you, just trying to stir your faith!!!
