Neither of them dressed as us or followed the personal hygiene practices we, hopefully, adhere to today as well. Are we destroying our 'royal priesthood' status because we don't follow Paul's actual dress code or personal hygiene practices common to ALL in the first century?
Dress and hygiene practices are time bound. G-d's Commandments are not.

As a member of the royal priesthood, G-d desires for His people to drive the best cars and eat the best food. In the end, G-d's Word will prevail.
