Exactly! The money changers were cheating them. That's what it was about. They were coming to pray and worship with their offerings only to have their currency exchanged for exorbitant prices and fees.
As to the "rose" - how could you tell until you opened it? Could have fooled anyone. And yes, shocking at first, but funny - after the fact.
I'm sure the lady laughed after getting over her shock also......LOL!
I have to wonder though, was he the only one that bought his mom that 'chocolate rose wrapped in foil'?? Hahahahahaha!!

I can't imagine what is so funny about this, but everyone seems to think this was hilarious?? Not that I don't have a funny bone, but THIS would first seem embarassing.
I would think that the pastor, at least, would be mortified., [ assuming its the type of thong worn by mens club "dancers"(?) ] and what a horrific image of the church that mom might now have., those in charge of this 'store' should have checked everything; it seems I read in the Bible, that JESUS did not approve of selling things in the temple. He wasn't kidding.

Simply... number one... they are for sale on ever aisle in the undergarment section of walmart...
Number 2... 99.99 % of those roses in question... come as either chocolate roses or silk roses... very rarely will you find them with this as the ingredient... thus why would someone want to open every one.. Just silly.. apparently you have never been in the situation to make a mistake in your life.. but now you have... surprise! To throw condemnation for this is just stupid! I am sure the parent took it as exactly what it was... an accident. Most people have a forgiving and understand heart... try it sometimes! You might find life to be a bit more comfortable.
