Prophet Charles Pierce out of Ms. anyone know of him?

I had family members mesmerized by this profit they attended his meetings in Mississippi and we heard about it at every family gathering. He was 'operating' the gifts hit a few here miss a few there but they were going to service after service getting a 'word from the Lord.' I hadn't heard about him in awhile. I guess they will have to drive to Meridian to get a 'word?"

Boy, could I tell you some stories, but I won't do it on here! I've seen him be right-on and I've seen him be way off. He told me something once that was very embarrassing and very FAR from truth. I would not go back after that. He has had quite a following in this part of the country though.

I have never understood why people would continue to "follow" a man, (well I can't understand following someone in that way, anyways) who has been hugely wrong more than once. What is it that makes people so want/need this kind of thing. I have never been comfortable about this.

It scares me when people start seeking after gifts, rather than after God. It becomes a show and everyone wants to hear what he said about everyone else. Some of it was very inappropriate for mixed crowd, IMO.

Call a prayer meeting though, and where's the crowd?????????

Exactly!! And honestly, what is up with the inappropriate stuff, that seems to a common theme with some (not all) of these guys? I just don't get it. I have never been a fan of these types of services. I think that there is a place for the gifts of the Spirit in the church, but I think some of our ideas about what that means are a little confused.

I remember sitting in one of his meetings and I was YELLING with my thoughts hoping he could pick up on them, but I was disappointed!
