More likely for the first time ever. It is INDEED a New Year!
Elder Griffin,
thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow and letting me know I've found it when I wander off.
BTW... I also found the web site for the split. On December 27 this year they closed on the property at which they had been worshipping... a $1M sales tag... the church is now caled RiverPark. http://www.riverparkchurch.net

Speaking of Shreveport, I'm not wanting to hijack this thread, but, is the church previously pastored by Jack Moore still there and is it still considered a OP or UPC church?

Sam,
I know nothing of the fate of Jack Moore's church. I have HEARD that he went with the Branhamite movement at some point.
As to the Church at Riverpark, it is independent. Mark and LaQuita were classmates of mine at TBC in Houston. Mark's dad pastor's a UPC in Bentley LA and, like Mark, is one of the kindest men you will ever meet.

Correction: Falla, I just saw where you referred to the "late Paul Suber". sorry I'm a slow typer.

I did not know that Bro. Paul had passed away, was not even sure Jonathan was his son. Do you know the cause of his death, he would have been 58 years old or close to that?

Did you know that he passed away three or four years ago? Never dreamed he would be a missionary to Africa. Last time I saw him was in about 1970, he had just gotten married. I didn't ever know he had a son until I got on AFF.

Yeah, I remembered the little red Rambler, on one trip to our house the hood flew open and he was just able to get stop without crashing, it did destroy the hood however. I only have good memories of his visits to the "big city!"

James:
It's on Pine Hill Road. Pine Hill Road is a left-hand turn off of Highway 71/1 North. The church is actually in the Blanchard, Louisiana community. The church has been there for years.

Won't go into details but it was a med mal suit which just settled and is still painful to the family.
Yes he was a young man, and it was before his time and he is sorely missed.

Phil,
God willing, we will meet face to face on your birthday in Shreveport. :-)
And as two that understand wasted decades on the wide and broad while knowing better, perhaps we can help each other stay on the real straight and narrow.
