My wife and your wife would not put up with us if we just used the Scripture as a Trump card and say "The bible says; wifes are to obey the husband and what I says goes !"
And Pastors use the "obey those that rule and what over yours souls" verse as a trump card too.
It just does'nt fly.
Question: What does "question leadership" mean to you and what did the bible mean by "obey those that rule over you and watch over your souls"?

You are the one who accused me of supporting a communistic leadership model.

I simply quoted you.

You have no soap here, Bub.

Your argument is bankrupt and once again you come up short, and clearly outside the bounds of the Word.
I do not think it is funny at all Coon.
Too many have taken God's; as you say "Theocracy" and have created Mob style churches. "If you join the family you can never get out."
And Pastors have become God fathers of doctrine.
If one leaves the family they are whacked.
Sad but true.

Jesus clearly warned us to beware of false prophets.
And there are False prophets every where.
Do you think the UPC is exempt of false prophets?

Nice dodge--NOT.

You always avoid this question because you know the answer is diametrically opposed to your views and lifestyle.

The Word is clear.

No it is the perfect answere as to why question those who claim they are of God.
I am free from UPC and still believe oneness and Jesus name Baptism etc....
And It gnaws at you.
I am thankful that I am not under the Pastor ship of false prophet.
I hope the same for others.

Coop,

While I certainly can admit there are elements within our fellowship that are cultic in their leadership approach, it is wildly inaccurate to say that more than an extremely minute portion of our ministers and churches fit this mold.

To say that we "whack" people who leave is way over the top. Far too often it is the other way around. Seems like you are the one playing "whack-a-mole" here.

No I am not over the top or Whack the mole.
Many are dis-fellowshipped, avoided and marked when they leave UPC.

Instead of answering the question, you just continue to slam the UPC and its preachers.

This is very transparent.

You aren't fooling anybody.

The question is about what the Bible says, not your well-documented contempt for the ministry.
