Cosmetics was until the last couple of decades a racist and status product. Rich women only could afford it and they used it generously to remind working women that they did not work. They had servants.

White women used it to make faces whiter so they would not even look like they touched a garden or outdoor work. Black women can't use blush to act the innocent look.

Of course in the mission field you know that there is no money for make up.

My kids and wife worked as 1800 re enactors in a museum and were told no one wore any make up. Period. Only rich in the big cities did.

The Book of "Ezekiel" tells us what Lucifer really looked like before he sinned.

Lucifer was a being "of perfect beauty". He was covered in every precious stone. He had pendants and jewels of gold...

Lucifer was beautiful before he sinned. An expression of Gods own beauty and power.

HOWEVER...that does not mean someone that is beautiful has the nature of Lucifer...I think we must be careful how we word things...
