True, I read about a NBA player addicted fo the same. He decided to quit. He says he had a rough time with withdrawal symptoms, but I think that's because he quit cold turkey.

I guess the honey was just to tempt the Israelites and see if they could keep the Faith.
Can you provide some scripture for this opinion?
If we blaspheme the Holy Ghost is that a different level of sin? Or are all sins equal?
(I say this as I enjoy some sinfully delicious maple sandwich cookies.)
But I’m drinking ice water.

Does not the bible speak of gluttony as sinful? I am sure if you think hard enough and look hard enough you will find what I am talking about. That is what I am saying, sugar in itself is not sinful, as is alcohol. But to over indulge in anything is the sin. Some things take more to become sin but but everything can be sin if it is taken to the extreme.

I've seen a brother down an entire box of fresh hot Krispy Kreme.

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) post any scripture that says that gluttony is sinful? We probably should be careful what we call sin. Jesus came eating and drinking and was accused of being a glutton and a winebibber. But as far as I can tell gluttony is habitual overeating (or over drinking). So eating too much turkey on Thanksgiving wouldn’t necessarily be gluttony. Let’s define what we’re calling sin and then quote scripture about it. It may clarify some things.

I used to be that kid. Box of 24 popsicles in one sitting? Easy. 1lbs bag of skittles in one sitting? A whole box of donuts? Yep.
