tstew im not upset with you personally i dont think, im am so ticked at the outrage over this, when there are a dozen black kids killed in Chicago every week and no one says anything, because it was done by blacks not a white or mixed race its a major injustice to all of those kids killed and disgusting.The media is altering 911 calls to stir people up and nearly everyone is going along with it in the black community.Where are these people, why arent they marching,who disagree with this

canam, this has already been answered. The outrage isn't *just* because a "white" guy killed a black kid. The outrage is because Zimmerman wasn't ARRESTED for the crime [assuming he committed a crime]. Justified or not, that's what has everyone up in arms. While I think the reaction is greater because Zimmerman isn't black due to longstanding prejudices or emotional injury to the black community, THAT is still what is causing the reaction. It has nothing to do with not caring that black teens are killed in other cities by other black teens.

I guess were some of you are misunderstanding me is in the notion that nobody is saying anything about black on black crime. Al Sharpton may not be saying anything about it, but there are thousands of voices in black America that do all the time. I think some of you all just fall for the sensational media games. It was on a young black radio show that I heard about how many shootings have already taken place in chicago this year. It is a huge problem and that was the point of their conversation. I and many of my contemporary art actively working to change what we see. Once again this case struck a nerve because the killer was walking away.
