I think it is imperative to realize that some people are walking after the will of God in their lives. I can't throw the standard wearers out as nothing.
In other words, I can't belittle a person that follows standards. I can't convince them to leave it all. I can't look at them and say, "You are wrong!"
I can't question where God places people. If they say, "This is where God has led me", then I have to leave that alone.
To me it's like the Greeks and the Jews, in essence - "Don't put more on them.....". They were both following truth, but not placing laws on each other. They were trying to live together in the best harmony they could.
If non-standard people are ridiculing standards people, then they are in essence putting out their rules to follow. I don't think that it's fair and it is also pushing views on others.
I don't think we can do that to each other and I think we can still respect each other from where we feel led to serve.
JMHO.

This is GREAT PO!!!
I agree with you totally.
Both sides can look at the other and judge them...
I don't want to do that.

Thanks The Mrs. It's so true. We can't cause each other to stumble. We have enough struggles I think.

The Bible gives no such definition. The Pharisees were rebuked by Jesus because they were more concerned about 'the look' than they were 'being the part'.
However, the disciples fished naked and were never told by Jesus to be modest when doing so. Jesus looked so much like the other men of His day that he had to be pointed out with a kiss in order to be arrested. Paul never instructed the churches on what attire to wear to 'look the part'. Not even once. Never once in the law of Moses is specific attire mentioned. I find this to be problematic when these teachings are taught as Biblical and not personal pastoral preferences.

Excellent points which never seem to be addressed for some reason.

How does one "dress holy"?

I don't think anyone should ever try and convince someone to let up their standards.

Thanks. I guess I was just beginning to wonder from all the posts. lol!
I didn't especially get that from you, for the record, but I was wondering.
It almost comes across as something evil. I sure wouldn't want to touch that with a ten foot pole.
