These are just a few. I think that all believers should be baptized, but no scripture I have read makes it manditory, but if I were to preach I would strongly urge it, but can not out of being honest with my self say you gotta in order to be saved, but because you are saved you oughta do it.
My position exactly on baptism. I participated in it, believe in it and advocate for it. I believe that any individual who has been convicted of their sin and drawn to Christ by the Holy Spirit, then repents(changes their mind), acknowledges a need of Christ and Him only as means of reconciliation with God and with Godly sorrow asks to be redeemed by the only means possible, the precious blood of Christ, should identify publicly with Christ in baptism. It's an important, biblical step to following the Savior in obedience.

However, I simply cannot say with 100% certainty based on all scriptures in their context that someone who professes faith in Christ, like the thief, and yet doesn't follow through in baptism is condemned and damned to eternal hell.

after you believe and are saved one should obey Acts 2:38 because you are saved. Acts 2:38 is our response after accepting the gospel, what Jesus did for us.

Uh, sorry, but you are wrong. You just have to believe and that's all.

No reason you should there is no scripture that says one is condemned to hell if they don't. Salvation is free to those who receive it and the rest is up to us as a response to that gospel.

Did you think they might take him down off of the cross at that point of confession? I'm certain they wouldn't have, but as Jesus knew the man's heart and that he would have, given the opportunity, followed God's plan of salvation, He allowed him entrance.

"They that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be fillled", is some very indicting scripture.

Do I think some Trinitarians will be saved, as has been the question on various posts? If they are like this Thief, I contend they could be.

Having said that, I know some Trinitarians that are wonderful, kind and God fearing people, but the minute you mention Jesus name baptism and the Holy Ghost infilling their heads turn faster than Linda Blair on the Exorcist. Ask me, I know.

Belief is key, but stopping there is not getting all the God has for us.
