Chicken and Wild Rice

2 T. butter
1 med. onion, peeled and diced
3 c. diced, cooked white meat chicken
2 cans green beans, drained and rinsed
a can water chestnuts, drained & chopped
1 can cream of celery soup
1 c. real mayonnaise
1 (6 oz.) box long grain wild rice, cooked according to directions on package
1 c. grated sharp Cheddar
Pinch of salt
Optional - pimentos

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Heat butter in a small skillet over med. heat. Saute onions until clear, about five minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients to the bowl and mix together well. Pour into a greased 3 qt. casserole dish. Bake for 20-25 min. or until buble. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

This is AWESOME!!!

Berk, is that really YOU in the video? You're gonna give the IronChef a run for his money if you post things like this on YouTube. Folks will quit watching his show and just turn on their computers and go to YouTube instead. LOL

by the way, the dish you made ---- ewwwwwwwwww!! Sorry, that's just MHO. I'm really not a seafood person, so don't be offended.

Margie, let me know how you like it. I wanted to make it tonight, but it looks like we're going to have to make a rush trip to Memphis to pick up a drum booth for our church in Henderson. Always something....

I personally love sushi. My favorite is soft shell crab roll.

For dinner I am having one of the slushy drinks from the beverage thread
along with hoagie rolls loaded with barbeque beef or chicken.I couldn't decide
so I got both.I am going over to a friends with all in tow for a swim and
dinner.Beware all low flying planes.
