I admire and respect Chester Wright.
However, numbers alone do not indicate success.
Also, I had friends from WPF and ALJC who attended.
So, not all of those attendees were UPC.
I will say that I agree with his premise.
The curious thing that happened with the departure of some to the WPF was that the UPC became more conservative.
And the WPF has grown more "tolerant" since it began.

The UPCI, ALJC, PAW, etc., etc., are just human organizations. What does it matter if they live or die? If they live, they will remain as monuments to our glory days. If the die, new human organizations will simply replace them. Our focus should be the Kingdom of God.

I agree. I just find it amusing that the haters sat back several years ago, rubbing their hands with glee, gloating over the split, waiting for the UPC's demise; now a decade later, it's not only still alive, but growing.

Do you attend a WPF church?
What examples can you give of the WPF becoming more tolerant? (not necessarily a bad thing)

Dear ones....history repeats itself...give it a few years and the WPF will have its splits too...As long as there are organizations there will be splits....

The church I attend fellowships both UPC and WPF.
I attend functions for both groups and have been in official capacities for both.
As to the WPF growing more tolerant, I base this on my observations from attending their functions from the first year to this one.
