What do these scriptures mean in themselves or in the context of the whole of the Bible especially NT!

Again, we have to throw out most of the NT if it is just "Believe" in and of itself.

I believe that Jesus is my saviour, having said that, one will repent be water baptised & be filled with the Spirit.

Afterwards (if God doesn't let him drop dead) he will walk with the Lord perfecting Holiness & growing in Grace & in allowing the fruit of the Spirit to
be cultivated in his/her life.

If someone says call the mechanic, and go to the garage and have your car worked on..then pay for it, and your car will be fixed. Your car is not fixed, as soon as you called the mechanic.

Notice you want to throw out plain statements made probably 20 times or more so that you can make everything conform to one verse. seems a little backwards to me.

But if Jesus says believe on me and you will be saved...then you are saved. he didn't tell me to pay a mechanic, or call him.

You are right. A mechanic is not all powerful either. If he were then when you called him he will use his power to fix your car with out you even taking it to him. Funny. Trying to say calling a mechanic is like calling God. What a joke, Tim that is not even a fair example. Comparing a human human elements against God elements.

Act 11:14 "Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved."

15And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

A little more than easy believeism.

When I first came to God & he started pricking me in my heart & convicting me of not just a sinner's lifestyle but an ungodly one at that I looked to him as my Saviour and called upon him which led me to repent & be baptized & be filled with his Spirit!

Interesting enough, now that I think about it, my burden was lifted after I was Baptized!

It was if 1,000 pounds were lifted from my shoulders!
Didn't happen when I believed.
