Actually we ought to have power with God since our heads are not covered at least the tops of them.

I have heard that. If it speaks of order in Corinthians could it be like in I Peter 3:7 where they were instructed not to let their prayers be hindered?

I'm just wondering.

The head of the man is Christ he is not supposed have something covering or coming between his submisision to Christ.
A woman is to be under submission to her husband as he is submitted to Christ she is to be covered by being under submission to her husband as he follows The Lord or a single woman to be submitted to a male Christian leader whom God has placed in her life such a Pastor.Maybe I'm off base here.

Well even as a kid I was able to read that chapter and get what Paul was teaching. It really isn't all that difficult. What Paul taught there is comprehensible enough for sure.

And as long as I can remember that chapter has been debated and discussed and argued and not just by rebellious contentious women either. LOL. Even scholars much more knowledgeable than any of us here aren't able to come to consensus.

Why would women who love God and live to please him cut their hair out of rebellion?! Makes no sense. And for me it's just not a big issue. It was never a burden to let my hair grow. I didn't complain about it either.

None of the standards were an issue for me. Still aren't. I'm letting my hair grow -- it's the longest it's been in several years now. One reason is that it's easier to fix. I keep it up a lot now.

Ouch!!! LOL!!!

I remember thinking on the airplane last Friday that I need to get a hand mirror and tryto see the back of my head to see if I have a bald spot developing like so many men I see my age.

I still have my hair but it is getting thinner every day. The first time I realized my hair was on it's way out was way back in 1990 when I was getting ready for Kenneth Phillips 50th birthday party. It was a 1950's theme (he was the High School quarterback back in his day in Alexandria) with the women dressing in poodle skirts, etc. I was going to grease my hair and slick it back. When I did I was shocked at how much scalp I could see through the hair!

I guess at almost 48 years old I should be thankful I still have pretty much a full head of hair even though it is thinning. That day back in 1990 I thought I had seen the future and thought I would be bald by now.

Hahaha...Malachi claims that his hair started falling out when we got married, but his old barber said he started thinning when he was 18! Ha!

"Because of the angels" evidently is important or would have not been included. For some to suggest it is cutural have angels ceased to be? Whatever the passage means the covering on women's heads(uncut hair) is connected with the angels attention-ministry-or activity either fallen or elect. It is in the Bible. How many other things we do is said to be "because of the angels?"
If Heaven is interested then maybe we should be also.

Isn't that the truth! Before I got in church and stopped cutting my hair, I used to spend 45min. a day on my hair...not anymore!
