Perhaps it is time for PVR to explore his options. The office of Moderator in the ACOP must be coming up for election soon.

I think Thad's version had more Hazelwood in it than was actually reality. But knowing who news can be twisted as it makes its way across the border we should cut Thad some slack on this one. There was definately a story and apparently a fair bit of buzz until Canada conference.

Do you think the ACOP is ready for hats????

You are not alone. Word is that very few of the surveys were returned.

IMHO it was all about power.
That may be the case but that is not the way it was received and that is not the way it is being repeated by the alleged rebukee (I know thats not a word).

Someone who has believed that he was the pastor of the pastors in a district for as many years as he was DS is unlikely to take any kind dismisal,no matter how gentle, as anything but a rebuke.

Of this I have little doubt

Word is that the superintendent of Canada's largest district sent a message to the ministers of the district to disregard the letter and survey.

Thumper's sources seem to be better connected than yours. Is it really true that an elder statesman of Pentecost in Canada would be told to "be a good boy?" Patronization is not a fruit of the Spirit.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when no one wanted to fight for the cause of evangelism in Canada. Your humble opinion casts a shadow on the reputation of a man whose Bible you and I probably aren't fit to carry.

I had heard the same thing but from a different source than where I have gotten most of the rest of this.

I really wish Guy (aka Wally) would chime in on this. I suspect he could provide even more insight than has been provided already

I don't know that that is true. I suspect that the story is told just a little bit different depending on which side of the conference table you are sitting on.

Word was right a message went to the minister's of Canada in O___ not to say that message was right and in the right spirit. If a survey wanted to be sent that is well and swell- you or I could send one out if we chose. It is optional to respond.

The message stated it would be covered at Canada Conference- needless to say the survey was not beat to death so could anyone please stand up and ask if the individual who sent the message out asked his fellow ministers to disregard his notice and apologize for any direction he gave.

Ministers have a right to respond- garbage can or not - I don't think it is anything to be proud of if you didn't respond or are for an issue that is controversial...there is and will be a time to say "yes" or "no"

We get mad at our Saints for acting like that! don't we?
