Absolutely. The problem is, many cannot discern between the Law and laws. 'They' believe that because we live under the covenant of Grace, there are no laws of propriety and principles of godliness.
Live and let live is not grace...it is bondage.

Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the LORD." He gave it to Shaphan, who read it.
Hilkiah said to Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the LORD." He gave it to Shaphan. <W>
Afterward, Joshua read all the words of the law--the blessings and the curses--just as it is written in the Book of the Law.
They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people understood what was being read.
Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly.
They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in confession and in worshiping the LORD their God.
"Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left.
They taught throughout Judah, taking with them the Book of the Law of the LORD; they went around to all the towns of Judah and taught the people.
"Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.
And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the LORD.
The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
(don't miss who this one is talking to, bro)
After Moses finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,
If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name--the LORD your God--
if you obey the LORD your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
best of luck, there, buddy

Re: The UPC is a dying movement!
One of the biggest problems Christians face is not understanding Grace - it is not a "Get out of jail free" card - it literally is the empowerment of the living God working through a person to accomplish what that individual could never do in and of themselves. (Yes - even Holy Ghost filled believers!)
Mercy is different from Grace - but that does not seem to trip people up as much as a misunderstanding (Mostly from the religious world) of what Biblical grace is..
Grace: (from Strongs) Greek = charis - Good will, loving-kindness, favour a. of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues. The spiritual condition of one governed by the power of divine grace.

That post hasn't aged well.
34,000 UPC youth at NAYC last week was a resounding response to those who gleefully predicted the demise of the organization. It's not dying, it's not doomed.
Chester Wright: "Some left the UPCI saying we're too strict or not strict enough & prophesied our doom? NOTHING DEAD abt the 34,000 in Indy! #NAYC17"

Saved as creating something generic and user friendly? Kind of like Eastern Philosophy? Something like Olsteen, who teaches the Hindu Vedas disguised as Christianity?
Isn't it all about no one getting convicted, no one having to change their lives in any drastic way? Hey, you can't tell the sinner from the saint. People look like they were shot out of a canon or dumpster diving for their laundry; All this is done in the name of saving souls?
Yet, the reality is the jack leg preachers who advocate all this, are having visions of dollar signs dance in their heads. They cater to women and effeminate men, who are motivated to empty their bank accounts into the coffers of the royalty (the Charismatic Dalai Lamas) who are untouchable, unapproachable and unquestionable.
The new Charismatic movement is the brainchild of the post modern world around us. It has impregnated American Churchism and filled the preachers and performers of the movement with starry eyes and yearning to party like a rock star.
Save the United Pentecostal? Charisma Magazine fired the first shot over the bow when they reported there were individuals working from the inside to bring reform. Bring reform? Reform to what? To make the One God Pentecostal movement just another apple in the bunch? To make the One God movement blend into the weirdness of the Charismatic movement? A movement which is the laughingstock of the rest of the free thinking world?
Save the UPCI to follow in the foot steps of Benny Sinner, Paula and Randy White, Thomas Weeks, Juanita Bynum, Ted Haggard, the two fornicating Jimmies, Todd Bentley, Peter Popoff, and Robert Tilton?
Reform from the inside? What's that I hear? Ka-ching! Ka-ching!, More money. . . . more money. . . more money. . . Keep those cards and letters coming!
Baseball players, motocross racers, basket ball players, movie actors, rock singers, and Trinitarian Charismatics are all getting fat wallets, Malibu, Denver, and a penthouse in Manhattan overlooking central park west.
However, the very talented One God Pentecostals who yearn to have the rock star life and still be labeled as Christian, looked at the Charismatic Televangelist, and allowed their mouths to salivate to party like a rock star.
Meanwhile as they run to fellowship with Robin Leech, and Benny Sin, they lead many astray. They promise them liberty and lead them to spiritual destruction.
Save the UPCI? It won't be done by any opportunists.
In Jesus name
Brother Benincasa
