I did call out to Jesus in prayer while I was repenting, but it didn't stop there!

You are right Ron that the Bible has not contradictions. Since we know that Pete tells them about salvation then they ask now what then he says repent and so on. It goes hand and hand here. You are asking me and everyone else to skip over what Pete said in Acts 2:21 about calling on Jesus to be saved. Then he tells them about about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus then after that he tells the to go on and be baptized and so on. It ALL goes hand and hand.

Are you separating and excluding everything we are commanded to do after we believe? There are things we do because we believe.

Right but what we "do" after we believe, doesn't save us. We do these things because we are saved not to be saved.
