Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

All, more news out today that a neighbor of Zim's saw him with bandages on his nose and the back of his head the day after.
This proves nothing, except that part of the story he is telling is true.
Everyone needs to chill and let the entire thing be settled, legally.
I say that, but I do not believe it will happen.
We do outreach every week in "the projects" and the level of rage over this incident is very high.
It is high enough to make me nervous and I have never felt that way in all of my life.
I have spent all of my life in a totally mixed, racial environment.
Or as the minority in the environment.
Which is what happens when you grow up playing a lot of ball...

If there is not a conviction of Zim, there will be retaliation, in my opinion.
As mentioned earlier in this thread, I believe this incident should have all of us on our knees in prayer.
We as the people of God should realize that this is not the time to take sides, but time to realize that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
I realize that you could say this about a lot of situations in this world, but I really do not know how anyone can pronounce Zim guilty or innocent.
There is too much noise and confusion around the entire incident.
And too many conflicting stories.

You still have to prove that Zimmerman followed Trayvon. Just because he said some few choice words about someone he viewed as suspicious, because of the history of the break-ins in that neighborhood, isn't enough evidence.
Zimmerman said he was following Trayvon on the phone call with 911. He admitted that is what he was doing. Dispatch told him to stop and apparently he proceeded. This is my biggest problem. (aside from him being armed in the first place) Florida law states you have the right to not "retreat", it does not say you have the right to "pursue".

Apparantly he did not pursue, you mean. Dispatch let him know they did not require him to follow, and he said "OK". He believed Martin had lost him and left the area and even said so. A minute later he was jumped...

There's no proof Zim continue to follow to point of appreaching Martin. Not that I know of.

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

I think a large part of the question whether to reopen the case with additional charges will be determined by whose voice was yelling, begging for help while being attacked. I think the grand jury can determine that through voice analysis.

Scotty, there is no evidence to show that he proceeded. There is no evidence to show that he did not proceed, except for his word.
This is what I mean about people jumping to their own conclusions.
Anyone who says that they know that he is guilty OR innocent is wrong.
No one knows, except him.
The facts and evidence have not all been presented.

Truth, the fact that instead of confirming he would be at the location of his truck (which he had already given) he said the police should call him to see where he was when they arrived leans far more towards his determination to continue to follow this teen who was "getting away" and "running away".

Meanwhile, two experts now say that voice analysis of 911 emergency calls made in the last seconds of Martin’s life indicates that likely it was the teenager – not Zimmerman, as his family contends – who cried out for help.
The Orlando Sentinel newspaper reported Saturday that experts it contacted could not confirm that it was Martin’s cry because they had no sample of the teen’s voice to compare.
But using a sample of Zimmerman’s voice, they confidently eliminated Zimmerman as the one crying out in distress.

I am no expert and I do not claim to know definitively, but it always sounded more like a teen's voice than an adult voice to me. Admittedly, I have never heard either talk before and I could be totally wrong, but if you were to play me the screams in a vacuum I would have guessed teen over adult.
