Oh..in case no one has noticed, I don't like taking anyone's word for anything. I'll gladly take sources that'll give me the information I need to better study and learn for myself though.

Sounds like you need to invest in some study books. They will do you a much better and thorough job than Google. Happy studies!

I think this sums up the major point of contention here. I believe it may be a simple matter of semantics vs actual beliefs. I saw Lost and Found say something similar earlier and it got me thinking.
I don't, and it seems most posting here don't, equate preaching with the bishop/elder position in a church. BB and L&F may be arguing something entirely different than we are. I *think* I might almost agree with L&F. Not sure about BB yet, I still think we're a long ways apart, but then again after reading this maybe I'm wrong.
What I'm going to need to study out is what the Bible really says about preaching in relationship to leadership. I sort of know what it says about teaching so I'll be brushing up on that too. I'll also be looking for scripture to back up (or not..I try to go into these sort of studies neutral) my belief that preaching and teaching are two seperate things.

I have no actual figures but the Assembly of God is big and was one of the first churches in Brazil and the God is love is bigger in the south and the Cong. church is also only big in the south...
My dear brother it may have been a man that came to you but for thousands on the mission field it was a woman...
I just recieved an e mail from a younger pastor that an old preacher is dying in his church the older preacher and all that generation I won to the Lord when I was single...as he lays dying he was telling the pastor how grateful he was that an 18 year old American girl came to his country and told him of Jesus. If he lives Brother Alvear is going to take me in December to tell him goodby...that is his last wish to hold my hand...My dear brother I am so glad I went to brazil...

LOL Any suggestions? Edited to say: Oh wait..there's a link in your post! Was that there before? lol
I'm starting to feel like
I also have a poor college student complex going on. I fully recognize that study books may be better (hey maybe the campus library has some if you'll give me some titles or authors to look for!) but google is cheaper and therefore more accessible right now.
