I did not get that out of Daniel's post either! Yes,
Acts 2: 38 is
very important (essential) but that is not all of the Bible!
Reminds me of those who think only natural Jews are all that is
important to God! Yes Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, but
Jacob had a "bunch" more children. All were important to the father,
Jacob (Israel). I am one of eleven, but I love every one of those
other ten siblings. Why! Because I know our father loved everyone
of them "young'ens!! A "TRUE" father loves all that He has birthed!!!
I had a wonderful earthly father who loved us all. Didn't mean we
didn't need correcting at times when we were "children" but when it
was all over, we still loved and respected Daddy. He also taught us
as soon as we were old enough to know anything, to love his God!!!
All eleven have a healthy, respectful, reverance for God today!! We
were taught by an earthly father who loved his heavenly Father!!!
One of the things Jesus taught so strongly was for those men to
love one another as He had loved them!! It could be said that we all
could use a fresh baptism of LOVE!! Yes, I believe the initial evidence
of being "born again" of water (baptism) and Spirit (anointing) but after
we have been "planted" with Him, there should in time be some fruit
growing on that "tree". The Word says that you will know them by their
fruit! The Bradford pear tree has beautiful flowers for a season, but if
your want "real" pears, good for eating, go to the Bartlett. Juicy, tasty,
Bartlett pears. The Bradford tree looks good (for a little while) but the
fruit is small, knobby, good for nothing but to bloom for a season. Jesus
looked for something on that fig tree. He looked for fruit!!
