Several, also, have to go through the entire process of disaffiliating their church before they quit paying their dues or hand their card in. Perhaps evangelists, assistants, etc., have handed their cards in already.

I am not really sure of the reason.
I have had a couple of preacher ( who went out ) tell me 'don't send in your card just don't pay your budget fee. That way you won't be put under question."

revrandy & wh:
If you drop your license and have a change of heart and desire to rejoin a formal inquiry is supposed to be made as to why you left to begin with. This can get really problematic if you had served in a district for a number of years and were well known there and then move to a new field of labor and are not well known. It is a by-law/procedural deal that has to be done. If, however, you simply quit paying your dues all you have to do is pay the fee for allowing your license to expire and everything is done. Much, much easier on everybody.

This is my conundrum concerning this thought...Why do we look to a Man to bring Healing and Not think that this may God working on or in this Organization to get it to a place where He can use it for his Glory and not Man's Glory?.....

In my area "they" were already separated. They were already talking about that Pastor across down and that church over there with derision. They were already having their own campmeetings, youth conventions and youth camps and fellowship meetings and NOT going to the official ones of the org. They were already forbidding their sheep from going.
I can go to their meetings. I can fellowship them. But it's becoming more and more that the converse is not true.
In fact some usually just say we are all backsliders because of this one issue

Another Pentecostal Urban Legend spawned by some kook somewhere that did it, and now used as a broadbrush attack against those with whom we disagree.

Then sir, you live nowhere near where I do, because it happens on a regular basis, and it is definitely NOT an Urban Legend, or hogwash. It is a ugly, ugly fact.

I doubt this very very much.
I think that what is needed more than a "healer" at this point is some good ... strong ... visionary ... inspiring ... anointed ... LEADERSHIP!

How anybody can be happy, or even blase' about the caliber of men who are leaving us is beyond me.
That actually seems like blind, short-sighted arrogance to me.

You have got to be kidding! Arrogance to disagree? Arrogance to think only the good men are leaving?
The reverse of that would be if you aren't leaving you have no caliber?
I hate that any is leaving. I don't think it speaks well of unity and working together. No one is being forced to advertise. This whole leaving business is nonesense in my opionion. IF you were being forced to advertise and you disagreed that would be a whole different kettle of fish.
But no one is being forced to advertise. How is this different than someone saying you can't wear open toed shoes at their church. You don't have to preach that at your church.
You have a choice to advertise or not to advertise. To think your more holy or more righteous by not having anything to do with this, is arrogance in my opinion.

I have not read all 40 pages,.....this may have already been addressed......... but I wonder how many of those who are leaving will keep their word on their PIM's......or how many missionaries will have to come back and go back to work to raise more money............

I've been wondering the same thing. HOW is going to affect the missionaries? Always one of the uppermost concerns in my mind!
